Celebrity’s mum gives readers the bear facts

“TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson’s mum has been back to her home town to help tell the story of her involvement in the Paddington Bear story. Shirley Clarkson was visiting Waterstone’s Bookstore in the Frenchgate Centre to sign copies of her new book, ‘Bearly Believable: My Part in the Paddington Bear Story’ as part of the beloved bear’s 50th Birthday celebrations.

Waterstone’s invited youngsters who visited the event on Saturday to come along in their own wellies and bring along their own favourite bear. Grown ups could also take the chance to meet Shirley and pick up a signed copy of the book – described as a delightful insight into how a simple bear became a worldwide icon.”
