“Rodney Hobson’s opening tale paints a familiar situation among private investors eager to make money from buying and selling shares, but without adequate knowledge of the more advanced side of the stock market. The former Shares editor’s book promotes itself as a beginner’s guide to investing in equities. It undertakes the mammoth task of discussing shares, the stock market, cmpanies and their balance sheet and general investing in under 20 pages. The information is certainly valuable and Hobson has done a great job of summarising the subject matter. The book is definitely recommended for helping more experienced investors to fill in any knowledge gaps.”
