Three Books for Investors

Historically the US has been a deep and rich source about the art of investing and this book – the second volume in the series – continues this tradition.
It is packed with well-written, thoughtful and thought provoking chapters each written by a well-respected investor with a track record to back up their theories.A UK audience may think the US investment theory does not directly apply to them, but the reality is the theories translate across geography and this book is well worth reading for anyone who really thinks about how they invest and wants to improve.Only a handful of the authors will be familiar to a British audience and even those – such as Elroy Dimson and Rob Arnott – are not what you would call household names.Do not be put off because there is much to enjoy in this book and readers can dip in an out reading individual chapters at a time and still learn a lot.Personally I enjoyed the first volume more as I was familiar with more of the authors, but this second book stacks up very well and is edited superbly by Meb Faber, himself an author of a few chapters.
