Those interested in learning more about this fascinating area of the market should read Initial Public Offerings by by author Professor Arif Khurshed, whose purpose is to provide information on how IPOs work and how they perform in investment terms. This is the second edition of a book first published in 2011. The new edition is updated with information on how the IPO industry has developed since then, including discussions of some of the most high profile new companies to have listed in the past few years, including Facebook, Alibaba and Royal Mail itself.
