Shirley Clarkson, 73, who lives in Bulwick, tells the rollercoaster ride of her role in the Paddington Bear story, ‘Bearly Believable’. Mrs Clarkson discusses the ups and downs of the international success she enjoyed after coming up with the original and classic Paddington Bear toy design.
More than 100 people went along to the book launch in Oakham Castle including Mrs Clarkson’s son Jeremy and daughter Joanna Higton. Mrs Clarkson says the book has been well-received and is undertaking radio and television interviews.”
